Remember to Celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas

What follows is a Christmas story inspired by a Youtube video. I was not there. I did not participate in any way in the making of this video. But I have watched it many times, and every single time I watch it, I am moved to tears. I imagined myself to be one of the participants, and then I wrote a short story about it. Here it is.

On the first of November, our choir began rehearsals for a special Christmas performance.

It was going to be epic.

We planned to do some performance art of the flash mob variety to honor the Lord, Jesus Christ.

I could hardly wait.

I practiced as much as I could, always singing in the shower and in the car. Sometimes, at home, I would pretend our hearth was a stage and stand upon it to sing at the top of my lungs, projecting my voice, striving in private, to build up the courage to do what I was planning to…
